VizuL: an adventure in nice colors

Mirtilo is a very troubled guy. One morning, they left home nearly without a trace, looking for their missing parents. Coincidentally, Mirtilo's cousin, Garoa, would pay her beloved relatives a visit moments later! Nobody was home, though. Come along this whimsical, colorful adventure with the two cousins seeking answers at each's own pace.

this is the game development blog for VizuL, an upcoming indie adventure and action game with bosses that conjure projectiles. there's also a story mode in which boss battles are choice-based.

there are two playable characters, Mirtilo (they/it) and Garoa (she/her) and there are different abilities, attacks and dialogue for both characters. the story is linear.

i am the main artist and only musician. the writing is in the hands of other few people beside me.

this game will tackle themes that are deeply personal to me, and can be read as basically a big piece of vent art. but the demo should be tamer and it'll go up to the 3rd stage.

Help fund a brazilian game that's 2d frame-by-frame about indigenous culture!

Synopsis: When illegal fires on a Pantanal forest end up driving away an entire indigenous community out of it's land, the sisters Tai and Ari see themselves forced to take different paths to the fight for survival of their people, their tribe and their lives. With the help of a powerful being, the Enchanted, they follow their separate journeys against powerful men that try to colonize their land, at the same time that they desperatedly try to meet again.

I can't stress enough how important it is to incentivize projects like this, this isn't made by a company it's by passionate people that want to do something wonderful and bring attention and humanization to the real indigenous people affected by the fires to their land in this country, who are always treated as an after thought. It's clear by the art how much passion and talent went into this, we don't have that much teaching of animation on the country(with only two colleges that teach it as a course in the entire country, most animators i've know and myself included are self taught) so something to this level of quality is absolutely fantastic and deserves to be supported or at the very least seen!!!

Why can’t these anti woke indie sleaze people and their sycophants just accept the fact that people don’t like them or are charmed by their schtick. Their whole thing is like “you’re bothered by me because you’re obsessed with me” but no….it’s like…you’re a train wreck and people will talk abt it. I saw a Tweet that was like a screenshot of a tiktok made by a seemingly young queer person who was ranting how charli xcx made a song dedicated to the red scare lady….and people who’s political affiliation I couldn’t even figure out we’re dogpiling the tiktoker ….for ranting about it. It’s like they can dish it but can’t take it. I just don’t get the appeal and I’ve said this before but its funny whenever the term dimes square is brought up to reference this fashionable alt right…when the restaurant itself is like a vegan cafe dev hynes hangs out at that’s owned by a Brazilian woman? The broader area of the Les is literally like…a trendy gayborhood w shopy shops. Like my point is that in real life these things have way less societal impact but someone as connected to the mainstream media channels….shouting out a girl who hung an ss flag …is dangerous !!And worth examining. There is no fucking way that the devs for splatoon aren't aware of the problem, like, they even removed the votes from the sneak peek but like, they aren't willing to fix the ACTUAL problem that is the non-regional votes.

A part of me wished they had fixed that sooner because its SO OBVIOUS who would have won if it were regional, but no, it's shiver everytime and we don't even stand a chance against her :/

And the worst part is that if they do not fix this before the final fest, I fear of what it might become.

Do NOT put the blame on shiver, it is NOT her fault, you guys are blaming the wrong person, we need to address the actual problem and point the fingers at the REAL culprit and that is Nintendo for not doing anything about this, obviously Japanese people are going to choose someone who represents their culture, I almost do the same by supporting big man (I'm Brazilian), I don't vote for him often as he doesn't have the themes I tend to like, but I still like him a lot just because of that little fact.

So please, stop throwing hate at her and start trying to hold Nintendo accountable
